Converted films in Leonard G. McCann Archives

In 2012, a collection of 16mm films were converted into digital format. Two were produced by the RCMP and one is a home video whose creator is unknown.

Film created by F.S. Farrar, 1st Mate, RCMP St. Roch. Consists of footage of west-east travel through Northwest Passage. See notes by Doreen Reidel.

Circa 1950-51. Footage of St. Roch post-NWP sailing south around North America: Halifax-Esquimalt- Vancouver- San Francisco- San Diego-Acapulco-Balboa-Havana-Norfolk- New York-Nova Scotia. Another copy of this film is available at Library & Archivess Canada.
